Enjoy this hands-on introductory class on soap making. Local soap maker and Gridley's owner Michele Sauve will teach you the soap making process, demonstrate how soap is made and guide you as you make your own batch of soap to take home with you.  This 3 hour workshop will introduce you to the process of making soap and touch on such topics as safe lye handling, basic terminology, soaping tips and options for customizing soap.  

Prior to the class you will get to design your soap by selecting your scent, colour and additives, if desired.  Workshop includes a silicone lined wooden soap mold (makes 10 bars of soap).  Keep your mold and safety equipment for making soap at home! Bring them to future classes for a 10% discount on workshop fees.  Don't think you will use the mold again? Return it to us for a $10 refund.
