You are invited to the Agriculture Network of Kawartha Lakes Summit to connect with other agricultural organizations and agri-businesses.

Please join us for a gathering of board members of the local farm organizations and reps from agri-businesses within Kawartha Lakes. This meeting is a great opportunity to network between agricultural organizations and businesses, share what you are working on. What are your challenges, ideas for strengthen your organizations and the agricultural sector, and learn from each other. Whether you're a seasoned board member or just starting out, everyone is welcome! Let's come together in a way we haven't done for years. This annual networking day is aimed at improving awareness, and communication between our agricultural organizations in Kawartha Lakes, and to step up as leaders to think collaboratively about ways to improve the sector as a whole.

Each organization will have the chance to share what they have done recently, and what is upcoming. What are your challenges as a board, but also, what are the challenges your members are facing, and how can our agriculture sector be improved?

We will hear about the recent agricultural impact study, review recent activities to grow the sector, and tips and tricks to help your agricultural board go from surviving to thriving.

Ideas and information shared may lead to group actions, and can feed into an updated Kawartha Lakes Agriculture and Food Action Plan. At the very least you'll get to know the other agricultural boards, and the fine volunteers like yourself who are working on behalf of your fellow farmers to make it better.
